Japan's HRC-CRC exports decreased in November

According to customs statistics of the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's exports of iron and steel products totaled 2.6 million mt in November this year.

This corresponds to a monthly decline of 4.0 percent and an annual decline of 7.0 percent. In the cumulative period between January and November this year, Japanese exports of iron and steel products reached 30.1 million tons, an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period last year.

With taking a glance at Japan's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports, HRC exports decreased by 5.2% in November compared to the previous month, reaching 934,293 mt. HRC exports increased by 14.2% in the first 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 11.3 million tons.

Japan's cold rolled coil (CRC) exports decreased by 19% in November compared to the previous month, falling to 128,222 mt. In the first 11 months of 2023, CRC exports decreased by 5.8% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1.4 million tons.
