Japanese steel demand may decrease by 2.4% compared to the previous year

Japanese steel demand could decreased 2.4% from last year to 19.97 million tonnes, according to Japan's forecasts.

A decrease is also expected in total steel exports and crude steel production

It is estimated that the total steel exports between April and June will decrease by 8.4% on an annual basis, reaching 6.59 million tons, and the crude steel production will also decrease by 4.6% on an annual basis, reaching approximately 21.92 million tons.

The problems experienced in other countries are adversely affecting steel supply

Reasons such as the war between Ukraine and Russia and the uncertain economic situation in other countries may adversely affect the demand for steel.
