Italy's crude steel production decreased in January

Italy's crude steel production in January this year was about 1.55 million tons, a decrease of 14.7% compared to the same month last year.

During this period, Italy's production of flat steel products decreased by 17.7% y-o-y to about 750,000 tons, while production of long products decreased by about 20% y-o-y to 766,000 tons.

In 2022, Italy produced a total of 21.62 million tons of crude steel, a decrease of 11.5% annually. Flat steel products production decreased by 13.8% y-o-y to 9.55 million tons. Along with all these, the production of long products decreased by 12% y-o-y and was recorded as 12.03 million tons.
