Particularly low volumes were reported for the merchant profile in March and April. Small volumes are still at €500-520/tonne ($545-567) base delivery, while larger volumes are sold at €450-470/ton base ex-works, albeit very rarely. Local values, including size extras, are at €870-920/t ex-works.

The last week of April is expected to be slow in Italy. Multiple distributors and end users will shut down on April 22 to resume operations on May 2 after the April 25 and May 1 public holidays.
