Isdemir, Türkiye's only integrated facility capable of producing both flat and long steel, was awarded at the launch ceremony of the HIT-30 High Technology Incentive Program held on July 26, 2024.
The HIT-30 High Technology Incentive Program, aimed at establishing Türkiye as a global leader for emerging technologies, was launched at the Atatürk Cultural Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At the event, companies that implemented the largest projects in terms of investment size within the scope of project incentives provided in 2023-2024 were presented with plaques of appreciation. Isdemir, with its "Isdemir Special Industrial Zone Port Capacity Increase and Sustainability Investment" project, was among the companies awarded a plaque.Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz presented the plaque to Gürtan Damar, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of Isdemir.
Established in 1974, Isdemir Port meets Isdemir's seaborne transportation needs for raw materials and finished products. The port, with five berths for bulk cargo handling and one liquid cargo berth, has a capacity of 16,000,000 tons per year. As part of the "Isdemir Special Industrial Zone Port Capacity Increase and Sustainability Investment" project, Isdemir is undertaking capacity expansion as well as repair, renovation, and reinforcement works.
