Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that in 2026, which has been declared the “Year of Reform,” they will accelerate policies aimed at a transformation focused on the efficient use of resources, employment, and productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability in industry.
Şimşek evaluated the industrial production index data for the November 2025 period via his social media account.
Pointing out that industrial production increased by 2.4% y-o-y in November on a calendar-adjusted basis, Şimşek noted that annual growth stood at 3.5% in the January–November period.
Şimşek said the following:
“Monthly growth observed in 19 of the 24 sub-sectors in manufacturing industry indicates that the improvement is spreading across the board. The strong performance in capital goods and high-technology groups increases high value-added production and our medium- to long-term growth potential. In 2026, which we have declared the Year of Reform, we will accelerate our policies aimed at a transformation focused on the efficient use of resources, employment, and productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability in industry.”
