India's finished steel exports in April were around 743,000 tons, down 22 percent year on year.
Among them, Italy was the main importer of finished steel from India with about 131,000 tons, followed by Turkey and Belgium with about 87,000 tons and 77,000 tons, respectively.
Looking at India's finished steel imports in April, quantities decreased by 10.1% year-on-year to 327,000 tons. Specifically, South Korea, the major source of imported finished steel at about 179,000 tons, was followed by China (about 58,000 tons) and Japan (about 34,000 tons).
