India's exports to Europe and the Middle East accelerated last month, but increasing local prices since the lifting of export duties in late November are not supported by demand.
Overall, however, the strong export market performance increased confidence in local steel producers.
Leading steel producers have not yet announced their export prices, and most market participants expect a significant increase.
