India's 6 largest steelmakers SAIL, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, JSPL, AMNS India and RINL produced 6.28 million tons of steel in November. The remaining steel companies produced 4.06 million tons of steel in total.
According to its data, India produced 9.88 million tons of steel in the same month of 2021. In November 2021, major producers jointly produced 6.09 million tons of steel, while the secondary industry produced 3.79 MT of steel.
Final steel production rose 3.41 percent to 9.55 million tons from 9.23 million tons in November last year. The consumption of the alloy increased by 13.42 percent to 9.66 million tons in November from 8.52 million tons a year ago.
