The Ministry of Trade and Industry of India has decided to extend the minimum import prices (officially anti-dumping duties) for hot and cold rolled steel for another five years - until December 2026.
At the same time, the Ministry kept the previous terms in effect. The minimum price for carbon and alloy hot rolled coils up to 2100 mm wide and 25 mm thick imported from Brazil, Indonesia, China, Russia, South Korea and Japan will be $476-489 per tonne CIF and $476-489 for plate . With a thickness of 150 mm and up to 4950 mm - $561 per ton.
A similar decision was made for carbon and alloy cold rolled steel from China, Ukraine, South Korea and Japan. The minimum price for these products was kept at $576 per tonne CIF.
Imported products whose cost exceeds the minimum level are subject to special protective tariffs (for product types), for example, in addition to the usual import duties of 7.5% for hot rolled steel.
