In November 2023, imports of US section beams experienced a m-o-m and y-o-y decline

The import volume, which includes U, I, H, L, and T section beams, amounted to approximately 49,000 tons. This marked a 35% decline compared to the preceding month and a 9% decrease compared to the same month in the previous year.

Mexico contributed the largest share to the section beams imports

The imports from Mexico accounted for around 9,400 tons reflecting a 4% decrease from the previous month and a 3.8% drop from the same month in the previous year.

The UAE got the second position with approximately 9,100 tons, followed by Canada and South Korea, respectively with 9,000 tons and 7,800 tons.

The total import value amounted to around US$49 million, indicating a m-o-m decline of 37% and a y-o-y decrease of 29%.
