Global steelmaker ArcelorMittal recently shut down its coke oven wire rod production at its Krakow Sosnowiec facility in Poland, while its tubular division ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) Europe is also planning to stop pipe production at its Krakow facility beginning in the first quarter of 2024, according to the company's official data.
ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Krakow supplied pipes to the construction, industry and plumbing sectors. At current time, however, the company is planning to ship from its other sections, trying to minimize potential interruptions in product supply.
