Ikigai Steel, a company specializing in structural steel fabrication and assembly, has successfully completed over 20 major projects across the UAE and the Gulf region. The company announced that it will continue its production activities at its newly established factory in Sharjah’s Hamriyah Free Zone. The facility spans 548,000 square feet and was built with an investment of 30 million AED (approximately 8.17 million USD).
With this new investment, the company plans to increase its production capacity and expand into international markets. It aims to raise its annual production volume to 45,000 tonnes, prioritizing the Canadian and African markets.
Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, recently visited the facility to learn more about the production process. Welcomed by CEO Rohan Raj Nadarajan and company officials, Al Mazrouei was introduced to the advanced manufacturing technologies used at the plant. The facility features laser cutting, automated welding lines, and 3D steel forming systems. These technologies enable the production of specialized components for bridges, airports, and large-scale structures.
During the visit, company executives emphasized the importance they place on quality and safety, which have been key factors in Ikigai Steel’s regional success. The company’s client portfolio includes notable names such as Abu Dhabi Airports, Emaar, Neom/Air Products/CCC, Red Sea Global/China Steel, ALEC, AES, Dutco, Pfeifer, Meraki, and Sobha.
Ikigai Steel aims to grow in new markets by leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies and skilled human resources, planning to expand its operations on a global scale.
