House prices in Türkiye increased by 2.8% m/m in February

According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, the Residential Property Price Index increased by 2.8% m/m in February 2025.

House prices in Türkiye increased by 2.8% m/m in February

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) was published regarding the Residential Property Price Index Index (RPPI) in February 2025. According to the data, house prices across Türkiye increased by 2.8% compared to the previous month. The index reached 170.5 as of February.

On an annual basis, house prices increased by 31.3% in nominal terms, while they decreased by 5.6% in inflation-adjusted real terms. In the CBRT statement, “The RPPI, which is calculated to monitor the quality-adjusted price changes of houses in Türkiye, increased by 2.8% in February 2025 compared to the previous month and reached 170.5”.

On an annual basis, house prices in metropolitan areas increased by 28.4% in İstanbul, 37.2% in Ankara and 32.7% in İzmir. On a monthly basis, the price increase was 2.6% in İstanbul, 3.3% in Ankara and 3.8% in İzmir.

According to the CBRT's stabilization, while house prices continue to increase in nominal terms across Türkiye, prices are decreasing in real terms due to high inflation.
