According to the company’s disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), a 35.2 MWp solar power plant will be build under the ESCO (Build–Operate–Transfer) model, pursuant to Article 5.1.h of the Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation, in order to meet the electricity consumption of Ekinciler Demir Çelik’s factory located in the İskenderun district of Hatay.
The project, with an investment budget of approximately USD 28 million, will be implemented in Eskişehir. Including turnkey installation, all investment and project financing will be undertaken by Yeo Teknology. The operation and maintenance period of the project has been set at 10 years, and the power plant is expected to generate approximately 65 GWh of electricity annually.
The investment is expected to support Ekinciler Demir Çelik A.Ş.’s existing use of green energy, contribute to the company’s decarbonization strategy, and enable a significant portion of its electricity consumption to be met from renewable energy sources.
Yeo Teknology stated that it continues its investment and ESCO activities carried out through its wholly owned subsidiary, CALL Enerji, in line with its long-term and sustainable revenue generation strategy. The company reported that while it continues to develop new projects and pursue direct investment opportunities, it has expanded its ESCO project portfolio to over 200 MW and aims to maintain this growth momentum in the period ahead.
