Rebar and wire rod prices have remained stable in Poland, which has also affected buyers' demand and resulted the market to remain stable.
SteelRadar data showed that rebar prices in Poland were in the range of €660-665 per ton ex-works in February, down from €635 per ton ex-works last month. Sources expect rebar demand to increase in March-April. Meanwhile, rebar prices in Germany were reported to have traded between €635-665 per ton in January, while rebar prices were trading at €665 per ton in the first week of February.
According to SteelRadar data, Poland reached its highest wire rod price in the last three months at €715 in January, while the price stood at €705 in the first week of February.
For December 2023, the wire rod price in Poland was recorded at €673, while for January the price was traded in the range of €693-715. Sources emphasized that demand for wire rod, which dropped to €705 in February, was very weak.
