In recent market observations, we observe an average increase of $5 in CIS rebar prices, echoing the ongoing volatility in the steel industry. Among the significant players in the region, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has outlined an offer ranging between $615 and $630 FOB from the ports of Izmail and Reni. A deal has been struck at $625 FOB Izmail for 2,000 tons.
Byelorussian Steel Works has recently finalized a deal for March shipment within the range of $570 to $575 FOB Baltic Sea for small tonnages (3000-5000 t), showcasing slightly lower pricing compared to its counterparts in neighboring countries.
Meanwhile, Novostal-M has presented offers between $580 and $585 FOB Novorossiysk. A recent deal has been sealed to be shipped in March to Middle East at $570 to $580 FOB Novorossiysk, signaling a slight variance in pricing strategies within the Russian market.
The collective increase in rebar prices, with an approximate $5 surge, reflects the complex interplay of factors such as fluctuating raw material costs, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical tensions. Amidst these dynamics, buyers and stakeholders in the construction and infrastructure sectors are advised to stay vigilant and adapt their procurement strategies accordingly.
