According to foreign sources Taiwan, on Wednesday, September 1, transactions were heard for containerized heavy melting scrap 1&2 (80:20) completed at $448 per tonne cfr Taiwan.
Bids for the material were heard at $450 per tonne cfr Taiwan on Wednesday, compared to $442-445 per tonne on Tuesday. Sources reported on Wednesday that the next trading price is ton cfr.
He said it is possible for it to rise to $450 per Taiwan.
Taiwanese buyers are starting to pay higher prices for material due to higher freight costs and container shortages.
