Looking at the regional breakdown, deliveries increased by 5.1% in Europe and surged by 18.5% in South America. In contrast, deliveries in the Chinese market declined by 8.4%, while deliveries in North America decreased by 8.2%, impacted by U.S. tariffs.
In 2025, Volkswagen’s fully electric vehicle deliveries decreased slightly by 0.2% to around 382,000 units. As a result, fully electric models accounted for 8.1% of total deliveries. The brand maintained its market leadership in Europe in both internal combustion engine vehicles and fully electric models. Strong Growth in Electric ID. Models in Europe
Volkswagen significantly increased its fully electric vehicle sales in 2025. In Germany, electric vehicle deliveries rose by 60.7% to 93,800 units, while across Europe they climbed by 49.1% to 247,900 units.
The ID.7, now the family’s new best selling model, was one of the key drivers of this growth. In Germany, ID.7 deliveries jumped by 132% to 35,000 units. The model also attracted strong demand across Europe, with orders increasing by 133.9% to 76,600 units. The ID.7 is available in two body styles: the sedan and the ID.7 Tourer.

SUV models accounted for 50.2% of Volkswagen’s total sales in 2025, marking a 5.3% increase. In the U.S., SUV models represented more than 78.5% of the brand’s sales.
