Vietnam's scrap imports in January of this year amounted to approximately 213,500 tons, increasing by 3.4% compared to the previous month and by 21,3% compared to 2022.
Meanwhile, the country exported about 672,000 tons of steel products, down 18.3% m-o-m and 14.8% y-o-y.
Among these, the country with the most Vietnamese steel products was India with a volume of approximately 100,000 tons. Italy ranked second with 95,000 tons.
In terms of imports, Vietnam imported about 593,000 tons of steel products in January, down 37.4% m-o-m and 42% y-o-y.
