Vietnam's scrap imports decreased by 18% to approximately 206,400 tons in December 2022, compared with the previous month.
The US imported 30,200 tons of scrap, decreased by 81% year on year, while Australia was second with 32,000 tons, decreased by 73.6 percent.
In 2022, Vietnam's scrap imports decreased by 34.2 percent year on year to 4.16 million tons. Among these, imports from Japan had the largest share, decreased by 42% year on year, totaling 1.31 million tons.
