Vertra Steel is starting production at Adana Ceyhan Organized Industrial Zone (OSB)

According to information provided by the company, the facility will begin production following the opening with a phased commissioning plan and is expected to reach an annual steel billet capacity of 700,000 tons.

Product Focus: Special-Sized Steel Billets
Vertra Steel’s initial production will focus on special-sized steel billets aimed at meeting the semi-finished product needs of flat and long product manufacturers.

Logistics and Location Advantage
The establishment of the facility in Ceyhan Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) is considered a strategic move in terms of logistics and location advantage. Its closeness to road, rail, and port connections helps reduce cost pressures in raw material intake and post-production shipments, while shortening delivery times. This situation can contribute to Vertra Steel ensuring supply security in the domestic market as well as enhancing its competitiveness in international markets.

Sustainability and Quality
Vertra Steel Industry is designing its production architecture in line with carbon neutrality goals, the expectations of the EU Green Deal, and the principles of traceability. Key focus areas include energy efficiency, heat recovery, scrap optimization, and improved process control. Its laboratory and automation infrastructure support the production of high-precision, narrow-tolerance products with consistent surface quality, in compliance with international standards.

Employment and Subsidiary Industries Impact

The factory also aims to increase employment in the region. New business opportunities are expected to emerge for supporting industries in areas such as maintenance and service, logistics, packaging, and raw material supply.

The company is also seen to be active in the field of social responsibility. For example, in 2025, it organized an International Women’s Day celebration on March 8th for its female employees.

Stainless Steel Investment
The company also plans to invest in stainless steel production in the future. With this transition, Vertra Steel aims to enhance supply diversity in the domestic market and strengthen its export channels.
