Vedanta Aluminium plans to invest in the expansion of its alumina refinery in Lanjigarh. Ajay Kapur, the CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, stated that the company has allocated a capital expenditure budget of $300 million for the current fiscal year. The expansion project at the Lanjigarh refinery holds significant importance, but it requires government approval. The majority of this project is expected to be completed within the next 2-3 years.
Vedanta Aluminium achieved a delivery of 1.96 million tons in the 2020-21 period. Their objective is to increase their annual production capacity to 3 million tons.
