In September this year, US wire rod imports fell by 45% on a monthly basis and 9% on a yearly basis to around 49,000 tons.
Imports from Canada were about 24,000 tons, Brazil about 8,100 tons, South Korea about 4,700 tons and Egypt about 4,600 tons.
The value of imports during this period amounted to approximately US$ 48 million.
