According to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI)...

US weekly steel production increased compared to the previous week

He reported that domestic crude steel production in the US for the week ending December 10 was 1 million 635 thousand net tons and the capacity utilization rate was 73.3%.

As of the same week of last year, the production was 1 million 768 thousand tons and the capacity utilization rate was 80.1%. Production in the last week shows a decrease of 7.5% compared to a year ago.

The production for the week ending on December 10th increased by 0.3% compared to the previous week when the capacity utilization rate was 73.1% and the production was 1 million 630 thousand tons.

As of the week ending on December 10, annual total production decreased by 5.5% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 84 million 364 thousand tons. Capacity utilization
rate also decreased from 81.2% to 78.2%.
