Steel shipments of U.S. steelmakers amounted to 7,757,807 tons in January 2023, an increase of 3.6% from 6,901,567 tons in December 2022 and a 7.9% increase over 7,148,270 tons in November.
Hot rolled coil shipments increased by 12% y-o-y, cold rolled sheet shipments increased by 10% y-o-y and corrosion-resistant plate and strip shipments increased by 7%.
