U.S. steel profile imports, including U, I, H, L and T type, amounted to 65,000 tons in January 2023, an increase of 95% compared to December 2022 and 42% compared to January 2022.
Imports from Luxembourg amounted to about 13,200 tons, up 15% y-o-y at 1,567.2% m-o-m, imports from Spain amounted to about 11,300 tons, imports from the United Kingdom amounted to about 10,300 tons, imports from Canada amounted to about 8,400 tons, and imports from Mexico amounted to about 8,000 tons.
The value of imports increased by 77.3% m-o-m and by 45% y-o-y to approximately USD 76 million.
