U.S. section beam imports decreased

US imports of steel profiles, including U, I, H, L and T types, totaled 39,100 tons in March 2023, an increase of 40% compared to the previous month and 43% compared to March 2022.

Imports from Mexico were around 10,900 tons, from Canada around 10,700 tons, from South Korea around 8,800 tons and from Germany around 4,600 tons.

The value of imports decreased by 37.1% on a monthly basis and by 45.3% on an annual basis to approximately USD 46 million.
