The number of US drilling rigs increased by three to 625. The number of natural gas rigs decreased by one to 116, while the number of oil rigs increased by five to 505. The number of rigs in the US fell by a total of 159 rigs y-o-y.
Canada's drilling rig count decreased by 5 rigs
The number of drilling rigs in Canada decreased by five to 192, while the annual total decreased by 3 rigs.
