The number of US drilling rigs decreased by 5 units to 654 in the week ending August 1.
The number of natural gas drilling rigs fell to 123 and the number of oil drilling rigs fell to 525. The total number decreased by 109 units on an annual basis.
Canada's drilling rig count increased by 2
Canada's drilling rig count increased by 2 rigs on a weekly basis to 190.
Canada's rig count decreased by a total of 11 rigs on a yearly basis.
