US imposes anti-dumping duties on designated products

The U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission (ITC) set final anti-dumping duties on welded and seamless oil and gas pipes (OCTG) imported from Argentina, Mexico, and Russia.

The tax rate is 78.3% for Argentine companies and 44.93% for Mexican companies. It was determined as 12.01% for Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, a subsidiary of OMK Group, and 184.21% for TMK Group companies and other Russian manufacturers.

Earlier, US authorities announced that compensatory duties were imposed on these products imported from Russia and South Korea. For Korean company Hyundai Steel, the level of export subsidies is estimated at 0.25%, which is 1.33% below the minimum limit for other Korean suppliers.

For Vyksa Steel Works, this ratio is 1.59%, for Volzhsky, Seversky and Sinarsky Pipe Plants, Tagmet and Orsk Machine-Building Plant - 1.30% and for other Russian producers - 1.43%.

In another situation, the US Department of Commerce has set a final dumping margin for large diameter pipe deliveries from EVRAZ Canada to the US between May 2020 and April 2021. This margin is estimated to be 36.02%.
