According to official data, U.S. hot roll exports amounted to about 38,400 tons in December last year, down by 22% from November. Compared to December of the previous year, it decreased by 34%.
U.S. exports to Mexico decreased by 29.3% m-o-m, but with nearly 22,000 tons, Mexico was the country with the largest share. Canada ranked second with about 16,300 tons. Exports to other countries could not exceed 1,000 tons.
In this period, export value decreased by 23.3% monthly and 26.8% annually to approximately USD 37 million.
