In February 2023, U.S. HDG imports decreased by 17% compared to January and by 27% compared to February 2022 to about 306,000 tons.
Imports from Canada amounted to about 72,000 tons, a decrease of 14.6% m-o-m and an increase of 9.3% y-o-y, imports from Brazil amounted to about 18,800 tons, imports from Mexico amounted to about 18,400 tons, imports from South Korea amounted to about 11,000 tons, while imports from Vietnam amounted to about 10,100 tons.
The value of imports during this period decreased by 17.7% m-o-m and by 38.9% y-o-y to approximately USD 192 million.
