US exports of section beam increased in May

In May 2023, US exports of section beam, including U, I, H, L and T section steel, totaled about 72,000 tons, a decrease of 2% on a monthly basis and an increase of 93% on an annual basis.

Exports to Canada and Mexico amounted to 27,000 tons and 7,000 tons, respectively.

The value of exports in this period decreased by 14.3% mom and 11.8% yoy to around US$46 million.
