Between January and April 2023, Ukrainian metallurgical companies produced 1.51 million tons of general rolled products, a 56% decrease from the same time last year. Additionally, production of iron and steel fell by 54% to 1.75 million tons and 1.81 million tons, respectively, during this time.
Overall, Ukraine saw a decline in the production of steel products in 2022. Production of total rolled products fell by 72% from the previous year to 5.35 million tons, production of steel fell by 70.7% to 6.26 million tons, and production of pig iron by 69.8% to 6.39 million tons.
