"At a meeting on May 21, 2025, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade adopted several decisions to protect Ukrainian producers from unfair imports," the statement said.
Following requests from Ukrainian enterprises, the Commission decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into the import of cable and wire products from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye. It must find out whether these products are being sold on the Ukrainian market at reduced prices, which harms domestic producers.
The commission will also review existing protective measures that are about to expire on imports from China of seamless steel pipes and ferrous metal products without electrical insulation (except for stainless steel and products for aviation).
"Support and protection of Ukrainian producers is one of the key priorities of the Government's work. Especially when it comes to protection from unfair imports. Ukraine adheres to the principles of openness, but is ready to protect its market under WTO rules," the press service quotes the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade is an operational body of state regulation of foreign economic activity, which is engaged in protecting the domestic market of Ukraine from unfair foreign competition. The commission includes representatives of state bodies, and the government approves its composition.
