According to SteelRadar sources, the steel market in Europe, which continues its downward trend, will continue to be uncertain until after the second quarter. However, wire mesh prices in the UK showed an upward trend before the start of the second quarter.
According to SteelRadar data, wire mesh, which entered March at USD 585, continued to fluctuate throughout the month as buyers and trade slowed down due to quota announcements over the past two months and prices remained hesitant and the balance could not be maintained.
Closing the week of March 22 at USD 583 with a slight decrease after week-long gains, UK wire mesh entered the week of March 25 at the same level. Sources expect the volatile trend to continue, underlining that prices are likely to increase in the short term.
UK wire mesh started trading at 584.50 USD on March 26, up slightly by 1.5 USD again.
