UK car production has decreased to a lowest level since the 1950s in 2022, with global semiconductor shortages, the closure of some factories and supply issues from China.
A total of 775,014 cars were produced in the UK last year. Looking at the data, it is seen that the number of automobiles produced decreased by 9.8% in 2022 compared to the previous year. Compared to 2019, it is noteworthy that there was a 40.5% decrease in production.
