According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod exports in June 2024 surged by 129.4% compared to the same month last year, reaching 98,704 tons from 43,034 tons. This represents a increased by 58.32% compared to the previous month.
Total wire rod exports from January to June reached 531,426 tons, a 122.6% increase from 238,772 tons in the same period last year.
Romania led the list of countries receiving Turkish wire rod exports in June, with 52,048 tons. Following Romania were Bulgaria with 14,973 tons, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 5,530 tons, Australia with 4,421 tons, and Chile with 4,198 tons.
