Based on data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs foreign trade preliminary data, Türkiye’s steel import value in July increased by 4.5% year on year to USD 2.06 billion.
In the same month, the value of iron and steel imports ranked fifth among the country’s highest import values.
The value of iron and steel imports decreased by 3.2% year on year in the January-July 2025 period, amounting to USD 13.23 billion.
In the same month, the value of imports of articles of iron or steel ranked 14th among the country’s highest import values. The value of imports of articles of iron or steel decreased by 4.5% year on year to USD 380.10 million in July, while it fell by 1.2% year on year in the January-July period to USD 2.41 billion.
