Türkiye's scrap imports in April 2025 increased by 23.8% y/y and 12.6% m/m.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's scrap imports in April increased by 23.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 1 million 510 thousand 991 tons to 1 million 869 thousand 994 tons. Compared to March, the previous month, it increased by 12.6%.

Total scrap imports in January-April period decreased by 3.8% from 6 million 807 thousand 353 tons to 6 million 547 thousand 337 tons.

Duing this period, , the Netherlands, the USA and the United Kingdom ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's scrap imports. Scrap imports from the Netherlands amounted to 331,132 tons, followed by the USA with 279,328 tons, the UK with 227,471 tons, Belgium with 129,484 tons and Germany with 118,386 tons.
