Türkiye's scrap imports decreased by 9.4% in June

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s scrap imports in June decreased by 9.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, decreasing from 1 million 324 thousand 462 tons to 1 million 200 thousand 370 tons. Compared to May, the previous month, it increased by 24.4%.

Total scrap imports in the January-June period decreased by 6% from 9 million 928 thousand 447 tons to 9 million 335 thousand 529 tons.

During this period, the USA, the Netherlands, and Lithuania ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's scrap imports. Scrap imports from the USA amounted to 386,445 tons, followed by the Netherlands with 131,513 tons, Lithuania with 87,051 tons, Russia with 79,501 tons, and Germany with 78,954 tons.
