Türkiye's pig iron imports increased by 150.1% in April

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's pig iron imports in April increased by 150.1% y/y to 253,028 tons from 101,180 tons. It decreased by 7,7% compared to the previous month, March.

Total pig iron imports in January-April period increased by 26.2% from 544 thousand 223 tons to 699 thousand 600 tons.

Russia, Germany and Kazakhstan ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's pig iron imports during the month in question. Pig iron imports from Russia amounted to 210,832 tons, followed by Germany with 25,913 tons and Kazakhstan with 13,786 tons.
