Türkiye's iron ore imports increased by 159.8% in February

Türkiye's iron ore imports in February 2024 increased by 159.8% annually and 58.3% on a monthly basis.

According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's iron ore imports in February increased by 159.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 395,606 tons to 1,027,928 tons. This figure increased by 58.3% compared to the previous month.

Total iron ore imports in the January-February period increased by 40.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, rising from 1,194,558 tons to 1,677,288 tons.

The country from which Türkiye imported the most iron ore in the said period was Brazil with 511,212.4 tons. Brazil was followed by South Africa with 273,827.6 tons, Ukraine with 156,627.1 tons, Russia with 56,508.3 tons and Uzbekistan with 29,750.4 tons.
