According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's iron ore imports in March 2025 decreased by 7.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, decreasing from 856,007 tons to 792,908 tons. Compared to the previous month, February, imports increased by 130.4%.
Total iron ore imports in the January-March period decreased by 23.6%, decreasing from 2 million 533 thousand 301 tons to 1 million 935 thousand 432 tons.
During the month in question, Türkiye imported the most iron ore from Brazil with 508,141 tons, followed by Sweden with 165,053 tons, Uzbekistan with 99,405 tons, and the Russian Federation with 19,583 tons.
