Türkiye's HRC imports increased by 81.2% in May

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's HRC imports in May increased by 81.2% y/y to 512,998 tons from 283,180 tons in the same month of the previous year. It increased by 124.7% compared to the previous month, April.

Total HRC imports in January-May period decreased by 10.4% from 1 million 762 thousand 203 tons to 1 million 578 thousand 420 tons.

During the month in question, China, Russia, and Egypt ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's HRC imports. HRC imports from China amounted to 261.246 tons, followed by Russia with 83,927 tons, Egypt with 83,663 tons, Japan with 28,861 tons and South Korea with 27,000 tons.

The countries that Türkiye imported HRC from in May are as follows;
