According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s HRC imports in February increased by 70.9% year-on-year, rising from 233,379 tons to 398,719 tons. Compared to January, imports surged by approximately 180%.
In January 2026, HRC imports stood at 142,162 tons, marking a decline of more than 65% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the January–February period, total HRC imports decreased by 16.34% year-on-year, falling from 646,540 tons to 540,882 tons.
During this period, Malaysia ranked as Türkiye’s largest HRC import source with 135,137 tons, followed by Russia with 104,983 tons, China with 59,514 tons, Egypt with 42,083 tons, and Taiwan with 40,705 tons.
