According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports in June 2024 increased by 179.9% y/y to 243,772 tons from 87,086 tons in the same month of the previous year. This figure also represents a 16.8% m/m increase compared to May.
Total HRC exports for the January-June period increased by 121.4% y/y to 1,104,177 tons from 498,649 tons in the same period of the previous year.
Italy was the top destination for Türkiye's HRC exports in June, accounting for 105,957.2 tons, followed by Greece with 21,265.4 tons, Portugal with 20,029.5 tons, Egypt with 18,431.5 tons, and Belgium with 13,493 tons.
