According to the provisional foreign trade data prepared in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Trade, exports increased by 7.9% to USD 20 billion 515 million and imports increased by 15.2% to USD 28 billion 688 million.
Foreign Trade Deficit Increased to USD 49.4 Billion in the First 6 Months
In the January-June period of 2025, exports increased by 4.1% to USD 131 billion 408 million and imports increased by 7.2% to USD 180 billion 845 million. In this period, the foreign trade deficit increased by 16.3% to USD 49 billion 437 million. While the ratio of exports to imports was 74.8% in the same period last year, it decreased to 72.7% this year.
Imports Excluding Energy and Gold Increased by 16.9%
In June, exports excluding energy products and non-monetary gold increased by 8.1% to USD 18 billion 955 million. Imports of the same items increased by 16.9% to USD 22 billion 544 million.
