Türkiye's flat steel imports decreased by 17.5% in January-July period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK), Türkiye's flat steel imports decreased by 29.6% on an annual basis to 620,058 tons in July 2024 from 880,887 tons in the same month of the previous year. It decreased by 3.3% compared to the previous month.

2024 January-July period total flat steel imports decreased by 17.5% annually from 5,994,816 tons to 4,994,926 tons.

Türkiye's largest flat steel importer in July was China with 172,155.9 tons, followed by South Korea with 149,032 tons, Egypt with 58,485.8 tons, Indonesia with 40,850.7 tons and France with 34,025 tons.
